Kannemeyer And De Melo Team Up For A Good Day

First due off @ 12h25

Hollywoodbets Greyville hosts an eight-race programme on the turf track this afternoon.

Don’t forget to take the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge on this racemeeting with the first due off at 12h25.

In the absence of the suspended Craig Zackey, the old firm of Dean Kannemeyer and Keagan de Melo unite with six decent chances today.

They can strike early when Industrialstrength lines up in the second, the Place Accumulator opener.

The son of Gimmethegreenlight produced a promising debut effort over 1200m on this course, when beaten by The Specialist, who has since gone on to better and looks a decent sort. Industrialstrength lost a length leaving the start and finished off his race strongly.

He returns from a 13-week break, during which time he would have strengthened up and should enjoy the step up to the mile.

Trainer Barend Botes sends out Care Forgot in Race 3. She followed up her maiden victory with a fair fifth-place finish in the Listed Hollywoodbets Super League Devon Air Stakes.

It must be noted that multiple horses from that form line have come out and won since.

The daughter of The United States will love the rise to the mile and from her good draw of three, she may be the one to beat.

Here’s a replay at this team’s previous win:

Petit Verdot from the Garth Puller stable takes her place in Race 5. She ran a fair race when fifth over 1900m on KZN Breeders race day.

It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked. The daughter of What A Winter will love the extra 100m on offer.

She has dropped in the ratings and from pole position, she may be the one to cause the upset.
