Kailene – The Venniker Value Today

Early start at 12h00

Racing takes place at Hollywoodbets Scottsville this afternoon and eight races are carded.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge, with the first due off at 12h00.

Looking at a decent bet possibility, trainer Mark Dixon sends out Captain’s Christy in Race 7.

She should have won her last start over 1200m as she had to be eased at the 300m mark. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The daughter of Captain Of All is unbeaten from two starts over this course and distance. She is the best weighted runner with 51kgs on her back and she should give the males a run for their money.

Kailene from the Michael Roberts stable takes her place in Race 6 and she represents decent each way value.

She is better than her last start and was reported to be not striding out there.

It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. She returns from a 10-week break which may have done her the world of good.

She has won once and finished second once from as many starts over this course and distance. With a bit of luck in running, she can return to winning ways.

Please note that apprentice KJ Lihaba rode his 20th winner on 20 December and now claims 2,5kgs.
