Julie Alexander – deserved promotion

Longstanding racing television presenter Julie Alexander has been appointed to the position of Executive Director at Tellytrack.

Julie was born into a Horseracing family and her father, Duncan, was a well-respected lightweight jockey in his day.

Horseracing was always her passion and, after matriculating, she started working for the Gary Alexander stable as the Public Relations and Marketing Manager, a role she filled for some 23 years.

Julie has been a presenter on the Tellytrack channel for over a decade.

The main focus of Julie’s new responsibilities will be raising the quality and consistency of the Tellytrack product to a world class standard through active direction and leadership within the Tellytrack studio.

Explaining the appointment, Tellytrack CEO Rob Scott said: “There’s been a requirement  for somebody to co-ordinate between the presenters, in-studio and  on-course, and the production staff in order to try and get a balance  that meets both punters and purists’ needs.”

We wish her well.

The Enchanting Currency Of Fate

It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
