The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an inquiry held in Durban on 7 October 2015, Jockey B Jacobson was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7 in that as the rider of JUST ASK ME, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to other runners, shortly after the start of Race 4 at the Greyville Racecourse on 25 September 2015.
Mr Jacobson pleaded guilty to the charge.
The Inquiry Board found Mr Jacobson guilty and imposed a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days.
Mr Jacobson has the right of appeal against the penalty imposed.
