Today’s local racemeeting, previously carded for the Vaal has been moved to the Turffontein Inside Course due to unsafe surface conditions as a result of the heavy rainfall.
All race times remain the same on the eight-race programme. The distance for Race 6 has been changed to 1450m.
Simply Majestic from the Johan Janse van Vuuren stable takes her place in Race 7. She was not disgraced when fourth in the Gr2 World Pool With Gold Circle Debutante last time.
The daughter of Canford Cliffs returns from a 15-week break and is making her seasonal debut.
She won her penultimate run with ease over this course and distance. She is the best-weighted runner in this contest and may be hard to peg back if jumping on terms.
Simply Majestic won the TAB Gr3 Pretty Polly Stakes in April, here’s a look at the replay:
Trainer Roy Magner sends out Max The Magician in Race 6. He won a good race in his last start over this course and distance.
He raced from a handy position, quickened up well and drew off in the closing stages.
He does have an awkward draw of nine to contend with, but Gavin Lerena should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle.
The son of What A Winter can follow up with another victory.
