Jet Master in a sling

Jet Master in a sling

Champion stallion Jet Master made the journey to Drakenstein Veterinary Clinic on Tuesday morning to prep for his forthcoming procedures.  I believe he had some opinions about the accommodation on offer, but finally managed to rearrange things to his liking!

He is in a roomy, double stable where he’s got some company and can see a bit more activity and to the great relief of his team, seems to be taking his little adventure in his stride.

The medical team has now assembled.  They have done an initial assessment and are getting acquainted with their star patient.  The DVC staff are working very hard and every precaution is being taken to ensure that Jet Master is as comfortable and relaxed as possible.  They did a practice run with the sling yesterday and as you can see, Jet Master has taken to it with aplomb!

The myelogram was scheduled for this morning and the team will evaluate the images, as well as Jet Master’s reaction to the anaesthetic, before deciding how to proceed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with them.
