Snaith’s Met supplementary entry Astro News

Astro News was supplemented on Monday 12 January for the R2.5 million Grade 1 J&B Met to be run over 2000m at Kenilworth on Saturday 31 January.

The six-year-old is owned by Fred Crabbia and was previously trained by Charles Laird.

He is now with champion trainer Justin Snaith and had his first run for his new stable in the 1400m HP Security Pinnacle Stakes at Kenilworth on 25 October, when he ran unplaced behind stablemate, Readytogorightnow.

He then ran third in December at his last outing in the Listed Memorial Mile at Fairview behind Red Barrel, who won again at Fairview on Monday.

This was the second and final supplementary entry stage and cost R18 800
compared with R5 700 at the first entry stage on 3 December.
