Much more to come!

The Thoroughbred Group’s eNews reports that David Hepburn-Brown of Hemel ‘n Aarde Stud’s wish to have star Jay Peg return to stand at the place of his birth has been realised.

The former globetrotting superstar, a four time Gr1 winner in three different countries who broke three track records, arrived at Hemel ‘n Aarde on Tuesday 2nd August.

Jay Peg has just had another cracking season and finds himself as the youngest of the top ten sires on both the overall log and the 3yo sires log.

His statistics last season were the best they have ever been.

There is more to come because Jay Peg covered two good follow-up books of mares in 2014 and 2015.

His fee has been set at a very reasonable R10,000 (all due at live foal).

His top performers in the 2015/2016 season include the Gr3 Jacaranda Handicap winner Peggy Jay, Gr1 filly She’s A Dragon, Listed KZN Guineas Trial hero Exit Here (now 6 wins and 2 seconds from 12 starts earning over R1m) and R2.7 million earner Victorious Jay.

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute.
