Jackpot Carryover Pool Can Reach R1 million Today

First race off at 12h25

Racing takes place on the polytrack at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon and eight races are carded.

The combination of Gavin Smith and Smanga Khumalo team up in all eight races with a few decent winning chances.

The first is due off at 12h25.

There is a jackpot 1 carryover of R250 000, and the pool is expected to reach R1 million. The first leg is in race 4 at 14h15.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Gavin Smith sends out Destiny’s Angel in Race 2. He ran a good race in his local debut over 1400m on this course.

He was his own worst enemy that day as he over raced in the early stages. The drop to 1200m should suit him well. The blinkers will sharpen him up and from his good draw of two, he can go one better.

Vandalise from the Alan Greeff stable takes her place in Race 5. She showed some good signs of a form return in her last start over this course and distance.

The way she finished off her race that day was encouraging. She is versatile and from her mid-field draw, she can return to winning ways.

Jockey Keanen Steyn is not riding today.
