Former SA Champion apprentice Craig Zackey joins an exciting array of international riders for the 2017 International Jockeys Weekend at the Champ de Mars.

The annual end-of-season celebration, which will be held on 2 and 3 December, is a festive occasion which captures the imagination of the racing-mad island and a former champion in Jeff Lloyd is bound to ignite plenty of interest.

Pierre Charles Boudot (France)

Mickael Barzalona (France)

Maxime Guyon (France)

Matthew Chadwick (Hong Kong)

The Mauritius champion jockey is also included in the event.

Imran Chisty moved level with Steven Arnold at the top of the Jockeys’ standings after Saturday’s meeting.

In a groundbreaking development, Mauritian Horse Racing will be broadcast live in Australia and New Zealand for the first time.

Sky Racing TV will show the races live and punters will have the opportunity to place bets on ‘pool betting’ and at ‘fixed odds’.

Tabcorp Holdings Ltd is by far the largest betting operator in Australia and New Zealand. They offer two types of betting across three channels (Sky Racing). These channels have more than 2 million subscribers in Australia and operate through more than 5,000 counters.

In addition, the races will also be shown on Equida – France, and betting on the 5th race on Saturday and Sunday, which are the main events, will be taken throughout the French territory.
