The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 10 November 2021, Jockey Muzi Yeni was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.

The particulars being that as the Rider of STAND BY ME (AUS), he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ROCKET FIRE (S Khumalo) at the 300m in Race 7 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 1 November 2021.

Jockey Yeni pleaded guilty to and was found guilty of the charge.
The Inquiry Board, after considering the evidence and the mitigating factors, imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days.
Jockey Yeni has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
