Interference- Kennedy Suspended

Has right of appeal against finding and penalty

The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held in Durban on 10 May 2019, Jockey Warren Kennedy was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.

The particulars of the charge being that as the rider of YESSIRICANBOOGIE he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to ELNORA at the 800m of Race 3 at the Greyville Racecourse on 3 May 2019.

Jockey Kennedy pleaded not guilty to the charge, however, the Inquiry Board found him guilty as charged and imposed the penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of seven days.

Jockey Kennedy has the right of appeal against the finding and the penalty imposed.
