The National Horseracing Authority confirms that at an Inquiry held at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 22 November 2021, Jockey Ashton Arries was charged with a contravention of Rule 62.2.7.
The particulars being that whilst riding MASTER TOBE, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to CALGARY (T Godden) at the 1300m in Race 6 at Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse on 8 November 2021.
Jockey Arries pleaded guilty to and was found guilty of the charge.
The Inquiry Board after considering the evidence and the mitigating factors, imposed a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days.
Jockey Arries has the Right of Appeal against the penalty imposed.
