4Racing has advised that today’s racemeeting at the Vaal has been moved from the main track to the Classic track.
The pen readings on the tracks were s follows:
- Main : between 29 and 30
- Classic: 25
After gallops on both the tracks, an unanimous decision was taken that the Classic Track is raceable, while the Main Track has certain areas that remain unsafe for racing due to rainfall.
There is a 40% chance of rain throughout the day, but this move provides all concerned with the best possible chance to race today.
Voluntary scratchings closed at 08h30.
Please note that all race times remain unchanged, with the first due off at 12h00.
Distance changes for today’s racemeeting:
- Race 3 will now be run over 2400m.
- Races 4, 5, 6 and 7 will now be run over 1450m.
