The Coolmore Australia roster for 2022 will be further strengthened by the addition of I Am Invincible’s dual Gr1-winning sprinter Home Affairs.
An $875 000 yearling, the Chris Waller-trained Home Affairs showed immense talent from the outset, winning the Gr2 Silver Slipper on just his second two-year-old start. Then as a three-year-old he firmly established himself as the best sprinting colt in Australia with successive Group 1 victories down the straight at Flemington.
On Derby Day, he was electric when easily defeating a high-class field by three lengths in the 1200m Gr1 Coolmore Stud Stakes, doing so in a faster time than the likes of Merchant Navy, Zoustar, Northern Meteor, Brazen Beau and Exceedance. In February Home Affairs beat world-class sprinters Nature Strip and Eduardo to become the first three-year-old colt since Fastnet Rock to win the 1000m Gr1 Lightning Stakes.

Home Affairs will stand at a fee of A$110 000 when he returns to Coolmore Australia after a tilt at the Gr1 Platinum Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot in June.
