Smith Could Be Over The Moon

The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h40

A programme of eight races is scheduled at Fairview on the polytrack to start off the Cape Town Met week.

The first race is due off at 12h30.

Gavin Smith saddles Jaeger Moon today- hoping to make it 5 wins in a row.

Gavin Smith sends out Jaeger Moon and he is the best bet on the card. He is a winner of his last four starts on this course.

He set the pace over ten furlongs last time and held on where it matters most.

The drop in trip is no concern for the son of Capetown Noir as he has won once and finished third once from as many starts over this distance. From his good draw of two, he should win five in a row.

Precious Stone from the Jacques Strydom yard is the value bet once again. He ran a good race when finishing third in his local debut.

The manner in which he ran on at the finish was encouraging. He takes a slight drop in class today and can notch up his second career victory.

Precious Stone will run with a tongue tie on today.

The false rail is 3m out at the 421m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h30
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h40
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h15
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h50

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
