MR Appeal Rulerofthe Desert: Rules Rule

An Appeal was lodged by Mr Charles Laird on behalf of the horse Rulerofthe Desert against the Merit Rating of 81 which was allocated subsequent to it coming second in Race 6 at Turffontein on 15 February. In order to overcome the problem with the Handicapping Protocols, the Panel unanimously agreed that Rulerofthe Desert will revert to a Merit Rating of 78.

Hoffman, held on 14 February 2011, the Board found that the Stipendiary Stewards had failed in their duty by not calling for either a review and/or an objection into an incident involving BETTY BURKE and CYBER LADY at approximately the 200m mark in Race 2 at Flamingo Park Racecourse on 07 February 2011.
