Newsflash: International Jockey For L’Ormarins King’s Plate

Ten-times French champion and internationally acclaimed Gr1 winning rider Christophe Soumillon will ride Eric Sands’ charge Golden Ducat in the R2 million Gr1  L’Ormarins King’s Plate on Saturday 7 January 2023 at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth.

The eleven strong provisional field for South Africa’s most prestigious weight-for-age mile includes exciting unbeaten 3yo Charles Dickens, who will have regular pilot Aldo Domeyer working hard to make the 55kgs weight allotment.

Also in the provisional line-up is Snaith star Jet Dark, who bids for his third straight victory in the magic mile, and July and Cape Town Met winner, Kommetdieding.

South African champion apprentice and our only female jockey, Rachel Venniker is down to ride Speed Machine.
