Horse Racing Ireland Announces Further Fixture Alterations

After sad passing of Jockey Michael O’Sullivan

Due to the sad passing of Jockey Michael O’Sullivan on Sunday, Horse Racing Ireland (HRI) has announced alterations to the race fixtures.

Please take note of the following race fixture alterations:

The Punchestown meeting, which was due to be held this Wednesday, 19 February is cancelled and will now take place at Punchestown this Friday, 21 February. Original entries stand and declarations to run for this meeting must be made by 10h00 on Wednesday, 19 February.

The Punchestown meeting, which was due to be held on Sunday, 16 February but was cancelled will now take place at Punchestown this Thursday, 20 February to form a 2-day Punchestown meeting. This meeting, which features The QuinnBet National Trial Handicap Steeplechase, reverts to entries at weights stage with fresh declarations to run for all races to be made by 10h00 on Tuesday, 18 February. In addition, The BetVictor Quevega Mares Hurdle (Grade 3), originally scheduled for Punchestown on Wednesday, 19 February, will be run at this meeting to form an 8-race card.

The Thurles meeting, which was due to be held on Thursday, 20 February is cancelled.
