The Bipot starts in the first at 12h40

After a few rough results at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday, racing heads to Hollywoodbets Scottsville this afternoon for an eight-race programme.

The first race is due off at 12h40 while the meeting closes at 16h40.

Garth Puller – another good day (Pic – Candiese Lenferna)

Hollywoodbets sponsored trainer Garth Puller is in good form and he sends out Hawker Typhoon in Race 2.

The daughter of Toreador produced an impressive debut effort over 1200m on the polytrack.

She lost a length at the start that day and caught the eye with a strong finish. She would have come on with the run under her belt and will be mowing down the frontrunners in the run down to the line.

Maidens Prayer stayed on well at the finish over this course and distance when returning from a 10-week break. She finished 0.9 lengths behind Arianos Shadow that day and is 1kg better off at the weights.

That should be enough for the tables to be turned this afternoon. The daughter of What A Winter should strip much fitter today and she merits healthy respect.

False rail is set at 4m.

The Enchanting Currency Of Fate

It is eerie to think that there would have been no Siren’s Call, Sound Of Warning, or for that matter Call To Unite, had fate not decreed that Enchanted Cove follow her dam to South Africa, and that Peter de Beyer had the foresight to return Elusive Fort back home from the States as well!
