“A ‘level 5’ storm warning has also been issued by local authorities for tomorrow. Therefore we will be postponing the race meeting scheduled tomorrow until Wednesday, July 31. We will evaluate both our racecourse surfaces once the storm has subsided and make announcements on which racecourse will host the race meetings on Tuesday and Wednesday,” concluded Vermaak.

There is a Turffontein racemeeting carded – off time of 12h20  – on Saturday.

Wednesday’s Hollywoodbets Durbanville racemeeting was abandoned after three races, while a full meeting was thankfully completed on Thursday 25 July 2024.
