Winning Combo Could Strike Again

Racing at Vaal today - first off @ 12h00

Eight races are carded on the Vaal Classic course this afternoon.

The first is due off at 12h00 and the lucky last is set for 16h00.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Stuart Pettigrew saddles Bold Fortune in Race 7.

She was given a peach of a ride when winning the Grade 2 WSB Ipi Tombe Challenge last time. It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since.

She has won twice and finished second once from four starts on this course.

Diego De Gouveia knows her well and the combination should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure once again.

Lulu’s Boy from the Kobus Roux represents a decent each-way value in Race 4.

He followed up his maiden win with a decent fourth-place finish over 1200m.

He moved up like a winner but was outrun late. He drops back to the 1000m and gets the blinkers fitted, which should sharpen him up.

Denis Schwarz retains the ride and he has a good winning chance.
