Hollywoodbets Durban July Entry Can Win Today!

He could be the banker today

Racing is on the Turffontein Inside course this afternoon and eight races are carded.

The first is due off at 12h25 with the lucky last set for 16h25.

Joey Soma – astute trainer seen here with SA Classic winner Red Saxon (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Calibre Crest from the Joey Soma yard may be the horse to close off the meeting.

He followed up his maiden win with a good second-place finish over this course and distance. It must be noted that the form of that race has been franked.

The son of Twice Over is nominated for the 2022 Hollywoodbets Durban July which suggests that his trainer thinks highly of him. He has plenty of scope and should be the horse to beat.

Dianne Stenger saddles Rosaprima in Race 7 and she represents decent each way value. She has taken on stronger company in her last two starts. It must be noted that the horse that finished second in her last outing has come out and won since. She won her only attempt over this distance.

She runs well for apprentice Rachel Venniker and against weaker company, she may be the one to side with.

  • Rachel Venniker rode her 60th winner on 2 May and will no longer claim.
  • Race 8 No 7 Tattenham Hill is a gelding.
  • Craig Zackey is not riding today.
