Holding Thumbs That We Race Today!

First off @ 12h30

After no local racing on the weekend, Hollywoodbets Kenilworth plays host to an eight-race programme this afternoon.

It is currently raining in Cape Town and the Sporting Post learns that the wet weather committee will meet at 11am with the weather forecast to improve by 13h00.

With the track still in good condition we are set to race and let’s hold thumbs!

Don’t forget about the free-to-play Hollywoodbets Punters Challenge and the first is due off at 12h30.

The Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge offers a bonus jackpot of R245 000 if you tip all the winners on the card!

There’s a guaranteed R5 000 to be shared by the TOP 20 on the leaderboard!  Get your selections in now!

Kindly note that jockeys Kabelo Matsunyane and Aldo Domeyer will not be riding this afternoon.

Trainer Brett Crawford sends out Enemy Territory in Race 2.

She produced a promising debut effort over this course and distance, three weeks ago. She finished 0.3 lengths behind Ponte Vecchio that day.

She is 2.5kgs better off at the weights and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The daughter of Canford Cliffs would have come on from the run and with the natural improvement that is expected, she should take a power of beating.

Coronation Time could do it again this afternoon (Pic – Chase Liebenberg)

Coronation Time from the Greg Ennion yard takes his place in Race 3.

He finished 1.5 lengths behind Machete Man last time. He is 2kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He won a good race in his penultimate effort over this course and distance.

Grant van Niekerk takes the ride and if not too far out of his ground turning for home, he is capable of returning to winning ways.
