Michael Roberts on Northern Princess and Gavin Howes on Senor Santa.
A fairly even and solid pace set throughout by Mr Roberts, which won him the race.

Oh MyGosh, this is a legendary race, one of the few challenges put out “one on one”,Greyville race course 1600m, Muis Roberts rode an absolute gem on the Princess for Paddy Lunn, Gavin Howes sat perfectly and pounce at the right time……….but Muis rode a pace of perfection and came again to claim the win to perfection…………..dont be deceived,Senor Santa was the best sprinter of his time, untouchable!
