As well as her dam being a stakes winner, the filly’s second and third dams, Get Ready Bertie and De Bertie, were also stakes winners and her new connections will be hoping she can continue that trend.

Jayven See’s Omen Bloodstock and Philippines client Wilbert Tan teamed up to purchase the highly admired youngster from the draft of Riverstone Lodge.

“She fits the bill as the style of horse we like,” Singapore based See noted. “At this time of the year it is the last chance to buy a nice horse.”

“She is by a sire that is one of the best in Australia and she’s a really lovely type.”

“Ash Glencross will break her in and then we will make decisions after that. Hopefully she will get to the Magic Millions 2YO Classic and we have purchased her for an all-female syndicate.”

The Zoustar filly was one of four yearlings today to sell for six figures to wrap up the National Yearling Sale. The A$400,000 price yesterday for Time to Strike’s half-brother by Zoustar remained the overall top price among the yearlings.

Other horses to feature high on the leaderboard today included the Pierata-Token of Love filly from Canning Downs Stud who sold for A$150,000.

A half-sister to the Sydney winner Token Capitalist, the filly is from the group performed Al Maher mare and she was snapped up by Bartholomew & Co.

The top selling colt of the day was also by Pierata and was knocked down to Triple Crown Syndications for A$110,000.

From the top producing and stakes winning Reset mare Warpath, the colt is a half-brother to Group Two winner Positive Peace and stakes performers Rotator and Alkaashef.

Across two days of selling the National Yearling Sale (Book 1) grossed over A$8.35 million on 195 lots sold at an average price of A$42,869 and clearance rate of over 71 per cent. Book 2 grossed another A$463,500 at a clearance rate of over 93 per cent.

“The last two days have gone reasonably well under the circumstances,” Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said.  “Obviously this is the most viable sale for the later style horses to sell over 70 per cent of them is pleasing.”

“Around a third of the yearlings sold went to international buyers whether that be the Philippines, China, New Zealand, Singapore or Hong Kong and that is pleasing.”

“It’s always a great value sale. Generally, the vendors are very willing to meet the market. We always look forward to following the horses on the racetrack.”

With seven action-packed selling days across almost two weeks, the complete Gold Coast National Sale grossed over A$125.3 million with 1007 lots selling at a combined clearance rate of over 81 per cent.

“It’s been massive,” Bowditch noted. “To have a Broodmare Sale that grossed nearly A$100 million and a very, very solid National Weanling Sale that was around the A$20 million mark and then to finish here with the National Yearling Sale – it’s been a really positive two weeks for the company and the industry.”

“We thank our buyers and our vendors and everyone who played a part – the horse transport drivers, our drivers, the caterers and stud stuff – it’s been fantastic hosting everyone for the Southern Hemisphere’s leading breeding stock auction.”

“The effort from the whole Magic Millions team has been truly outstanding,” Bowditch added. “They have worked tireless hours over the past two to three weeks and it has gone off without a hitch.”
