Handicapping: Have Your Say

Golden opportunity at Kenilworth

NHA CEO Vee Moodley and Chief Handicapper Lennon Maharaj will handicap the Gr3 Cape Winter Guineas at Kenilworth on Saturday live in the presence of the public.

In line with their refreshing new approach to handicapping, the National Horseracing Authority has been providing the racing public and stakeholders with detailed reports following major racedays, to illustrate how they approach the often contentious subject.

This week a press release gave further insight into the NHA’s attitude to the handicapping guidelines.

After the last race (17h15) at Kenilworth on Saturday, an all-welcome public discussion will be held on course in the Kenilworth Racing boardroom.

Announcements will be made on course prior to the last race if the venue switches to the Protea Room – that is dependant on numbers.

“Individuals are encouraged to join us and speak their minds and ask as many questions as they wish to. We will be holding similar roadshows in other regions – the next at Fairview on Friday 10 May,” said Vee Moodley.
