Fairview Uncertainty – Phumelela Act

Additional security arranged

In a media release published on Thursday morning, Phumelela advise that they have been aware of the potential grooms strike from Wednesday and accordingly arranged additional private security to be on standby and has also notified SAPS and POP of the situation.

Further, the Racing Operator has advised the local CCMA of the dispute and requested a representative to attend Fairview today (Thursday) in an attempt to facilitate a settlement of the matter between the employers and employees involved.

The priority is to ensure the safety of people, horses and property under the circumstances.
