Trainer Alan Greeff sends out Ignitethelight in Race 7. She ran a good race when second in the Non-Black Type Aloe Stakes last time.

It must be noted that Splicethemainbrace has come out and won again since.

The daughter of Gimmethegreenlight will strip a much fitter horse. If taking to the turf course, under jockey Richard Fourie, she should take a power of beating.

Flash Lightning from the Jacques Strydom stable takes his place in Race 6. He was given a peach of a ride when winning his last start over 1600m on this course.

The son of Visionaire won his only attempt over this course and distance. He meets a similar field this afternoon.

He is likely to be settled near the rear of the field from the widest draw and will be mowing down the frontrunners.

  • Race 6 – #9 MAGNUM FIRE – 154 day break – having a break from racing
