Unbeaten Filly Won’t Run In Guineas

Virus scuttles plans

Dean Kannemeyer’s unbeaten Dynasty filly Hashtagyolo has been scratched from the forthcoming Wilgerbosdrift Fillies Guineas on March 3 at Turffontein.

Priced up favourite, Dean Kannemeyer’s star had come up to Gauteng no less than six weeks ago to acclimatise. While the virus diagnosis is a minor setback, Kannemeyer confirmed that no chances will be taken and that “she will be taken out, and sent back to KZN to prepare for the season there”.

Highly impressive in all three wins, her likely forthcoming meeting with the mighty Snowdance in the KZN Fillies Guineas should be well worth waiting for.

The fields for the Gr2 Gauteng Guineas and the Gauteng Fillies Guineas will be published on Thursday, 22 February.
