The top trainer told the Sporting Post that the daughter of Silvano is doing well and that it was ‘all systens go’.

“The plan is to run her in the Colorado King and then into the Gr1 Premier’s Champions Challenge on 1 May. After that we will look at taking her to KZN,” confirmed the man who guided the SA Horse Of The Year to SA Triple Tiara success.

The winning machine was disappointing in the Gr1 Cartier Paddock Stakes on 9 January at Kenilworth when bidding to remain unbeaten and make it ten straight wins. She was reported to be coughing and had evidence of mucuous in her respiratory tracts after the race.

Paul Peter said at the time that the plan was to give the Met a skip and regroup for the Highveld Season.

The other two Gr3 events on 27 March are both juvenile features.

  • Supplementary entries close at 09h00 on Friday 19 March.
  • Declarations are due by 11h00 on Tuesday 23 March.
