Stalwart mare Nother Russia, who ran fourth in Saturday’s Gr1 Premier’s Champions Challenge and has already retired to stud, and SA Triple Tiara newsmaker Takingthepeace, were two of the four entries scratched by Assistant Trainer Matthew de Kock from the Vodacom Durban July.

The official date and time of withdrawal is Wednesday 9 May at 14h31.

The other two scratched are Silver Thursday and Noble Secret.

The big race timeline:

First declarations close at 11h00 on Monday 14 May.

First supplementary entries close at 11h00 on Tuesday 15 May

Second declarations close at 11h00 on Monday 4 June

Final supplementary entries close at 11h00 on Monday 18 June

Weights will be published on Tuesday 19 June

Final declarations close at 11h00 on Monday 25 June
