Made To Fly! Jackson is early favourite for the Met

A total of 31 entries was received at first stage for the 2013 R2,5 million Gr1 J&B Met to be run over 2000m at Kenilworth on 2 February. Daily News 2000 winner Jackson has been priced up a 2-1 favourite, with Horse Of The Year Variety Club available at 9-2.

The entry list includes such notables as 2012 Vodacom Durban July winner Pomodoro, who made a winning return to racing with a sensational sprint victory at Turffontein last month and the Gr1 Ladbroke’s Gold Cup winner In Writing.

SA Classic winner Slumdogmillionaire, who galloped after the sixth race at Clairwood on Sunday and has not seen action since his momentous victory, is also amongst the entrants.
