I used to be a regular at Kenilworth racecourse during the 90’s, spending quite a few afternoons during my student and early working days at the beautiful course. I’ve lived and worked in the UK for quite some time now and had hoped for a reunion during December.
What stunned me was the complete lack of any information about the racecourse, entry details, packages available for the day etc. I googled it from many angles but came up with the GoldCircle website as the only source of information about the course. Nothing practical. A Facebook page told me a bit more but still didn’t answer my questions.
I can’t imagine how the management at the racecourse think they are going to get new customers into racing without advertising properly. In this time and age a website with relevant links and pertinent information is a basic starting point.
I realise you have nothing to do with managing the racecourse (much to your relief I’m sure!) but wondered if you would forward this on to someone who can do something. Hopefully some pressure might alert the management team to the basics of marketing!
