Top track ability – Global View in action
A son of the world’s greatest sire Galileo (who was recently represented by his 60th individual G1 winner), Global View has settled in really well at Ascot Stud and has taken to his new job like a professional.
He has already covered around about 29 mares, and Ascot’s Ashley Parker expects him to cover approximately 100 mares in his first season at stud.
Four of the first five mares covered by Global View are already safely in foal, and his book this year is expected to include the G1 winners Royal Fantasy (Thekwini Stakes) and Lauderdale (Thekwini Stakes), as well the Gr1 producers Arabian Design (dam of SA Nursery winner Arabian Beat), Circle Of Gold (dam of Cape Guineas hero Elusive Gold), Larapinta (dam of multiple G1 winner Smart Banker and from the same family as Galileo’s 6 time Gr1 winner Minding), and Royal Drummer (dam of Gr1 performers Gulf Storm and Seattle Singer).
Another top class mare to visit Global View this year is Singspiel’s daughter Bella Cantata –dam of Gr2 German 2000 Guineas winner Caspar Netscher.
Not only is Bella Cantata a proven high class producer, she is also exceptionally well bred, with her dam, Bella Colora, having won the (now Gr1) G2 Prix de l’Opera, and also producing four stakes horses including group winners Mullins Bay and Stagecraft.

Global View – quite a specimen!
A top class performer and graded stakes winner at both two and three, Global View (who won his races on fast going) earned over $400 000 and won both the Gr2 American Turf Stakes and Gr3 Generous Stakes.
By Galileo out of a mare by Storm Cat, Global View is from the same family as champion 2yo and outstanding sire Storm Bird (sire of multiple champion sire Storm Cat among others).
