Gavin’s Mr Bodacious May Be Hard To Peg Back

First due off @ 12h35

Today’s local racemeeting takes place at the Fairview Racecourse. An eight-race programmed carded for the polytrack with the first due off at 12h35.

Trainer Alan Greeff sends out La Pequenita in Race 2.

She ran a good race when third over 1200m on this course, in her local debut. She set the pace and stayed on at the business end.

The daughter of Erupt steps up to the mile and the blinkers have been removed. She meets the right field and may be the one to beat.

Mr Bodacious from the Gavin Smith stable takes his place in Race 6. He finished 1.75 lengths behind Anuschka’s World last time.

Mr Bodacious (Calvin Habib) last won at Fairview on 16 February 2024 (Pic – Pauline Herman)

He is 7.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He has won once, finished second three times and third once from ten starts on this course. The 4yo gelding is likely to race on the speed and may be hard to peg back.
