Fushimi Inari Can Return To Winning Ways Today

First due off @ 12h30

An eight-race programme has been carded at the Vaal Racecourse this afternoon with the first due off at 12h30 and the lucky last set for 16h35.

Hat’s Queen from the Tony Peter stable takes her place in Race 2 and she is the best bet on the programme.

She made the expected natural improvement when second in her last start over 1600m on the Turffontein Inside course.

She took the lead at the 300m mark that day before getting caught late by Festival Of Magic.

Stable jockey Calvin Habib steps back into the saddle and in this field, she should take a power of beating.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Stuart Pettigrew sends out Fushimi Inari in Race 7.

He did not get a clean start over 1800m on this course last time but stayed on to finish fifth.

The son of Danon Platina finished second in his only attempt over this course and distance.

Philasande Mxoli steps back into the saddle and with luck in running, he can return to winning ways.

Fushimi Inari’s only career win has been at the Vaal Racecourse.

Race: 1 No: 9 DESPINA had a 203 day break due being given time off to mature.      Race: 6 No: 15 COUNTESS DANZA had a 259 due to being rested.
