Drum Roll From Marco Today

The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h55

Racing takes place at Fairview in the Eastern Cape this afternoon.

Eight races are scheduled and there are two minor feature races, including the Non-Black Type Lakeside Handicap and the Non-Black Type Fairview Mile.

The first race is set for 12h40 which is a Juvenile contest.

Jimmy The Rich writes Global Drummer is the best bet on the card once again.

He showed good speed in the Non-Black Type Fairview Merchants against older campaigners last time, but was outrun in the latter stages.

The son of Global View is unbeaten from two starts over this distance. He is likely to have his own way in front today and if this run has not come too soon, he may be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

Take The World hails from the Jacques Strydom yard and is the best value on the day. He showed good improvement in his local debut on this course over the minimum trip.

The manner in which he finished off his race that day caught the eye.

The son of Pomodoro will enjoy the rise to the mile and should strip a much fitter horse. From his mid-field barrier position, he can improve to win this contest.

Global Drummer will race with both a tongue tie and compression mask on today.

Take the World has alumites on the front and is unshod behind for today’s race.

The false rail is 7m of zero to the 1200m mark, decreasing to 5m till the 800m mark with a 5m spur.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h40
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h20
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h55
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h30
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 15h05

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
