Peace In Our World On Heritage Day

The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h20

Racing is on the turf track at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon and eight races are carded.

The main event of the day is Race 7, which is the Non-Black Type Walmer Handicap.

The first race is due off at 12h20.

Best bet – Peace In Our World runs in Race 4 today (Pic- Pauline Herman)

Jimmy The Rich writes that the best bet of the day is Peace In Our World in Race 4 and he hails from the in-form Gavin Smith stable.

He ran a good race when finishing third over 1600m on this course, two weeks ago. He moved up like a winner that day, but showed signs of needing the run in the latter stages.

He is unbeaten from two starts over this course and distance and has a very good chance of keeping that record intact.

Bold Diva is set to run in the Non-Black Type Walmer Handicap. She ran a decent race in the Listed Jockey Club Stakes last time.

She finished 0.8 lengths behind First Street that day and is 4.5kgs better off at the weights.

That should be enough for the tables to be turned. This is her first run on the turf course and if suited to the long run-in, she may be the one to beat.

Robert Khati will not be riding today due to flight complications.

The false rail is 7m of zero to the 1200m. Increasing to 15m to the 800m mark and decreasing to 12m to the 400m with a 5m spur to 7m.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h20
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 12h55
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h30
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h05
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h40

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
