Gavin Smith-The Trainer To Follow Today

The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h25

Racing takes place on the turf track at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon and nine races are carded.

After saddling four winners on the first meeting of the season, Hollywoodbets-sponsored trainer Gavin Smith will be looking to continue where he left off.

The first race is due off at 11h55.

Jimmy The Rich writes that Vision On Ice is in Race 3 and she looks to be the possible Place Accumulator banker.

She has her first run for the Gavin Smith stable. She was not disgraced when finishing second over this distance at Kenilworth last time.

The daughter of Visionaire gets the services of Warren Kennedy and in this line-up, she should take a power of beating.

Agrademarmalade represents some decent each way value in Race 6. His last start can be ignored as he was reported to be not striding out.

His form prior to that outing was good. He has won once and finished second once from three starts over this distance.

He takes on older rivals today, but is very well weighted thanks to 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Yuzae Ramzan.

Marco Van Rensburg & Calvin Habib will not be riding today as they are medically indisposed.

The false rail is 3m of zero to the 1200m mark, increasing to 9m to the 800m mark and decreasing to 7m with a 2,5m spur.

  • The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h25
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the third race at 12h55
  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h35
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h10
  • The second Jackpot starts in the sixth race at 14h45

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
