Be Brave At Fairview Today

The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h25

Fairview Racecourse plays host to an eight-race programme today.

The main event is Race 7 on the card which is the Listed East Cape Breeders Stakes.

The first race is due off at 12h25.

Jacques Strydom saddles Bravestarr in Race 4 (Pic – Pauline Herman)

Twice To Heaven from the Sharon Kotzen stable takes her place in Race 2. She has produced three decent efforts thus far.

She took on winners last time, raced from a handy position but found one too good in the form of Sound Check.

The daughter of Twice Over looks to be a progressive type and back against Maiden Company, she can shed her maiden tag.

Jacques Strydom sends out Bravestarr who takes his place in Race 4 and he is currently trading at around 9/2 with Hollywoodbets.

He has shown good improvement in his last two starts. He should have finished closer to the winner last time as he hung in the latter stages.

The son of Brave Tin Soldier will love the step up to the mile and with 2.5kgs claiming apprentice Yuzae Ramzan in the saddle, he may find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Bravestarr will run with alumites on the front and remain unshod behind.

Lukas Bester and Chase Maujean will not be riding today- with stipes permission and being medically indisposed respectively.

The false rail is set at 3m of zero to the 900m mark, increasing to 8,5m to the 800m mark and decreasing to 7m with a 1,5m spur.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h25
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h00
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h35
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h10
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h45
