Pacific Duke Could Rule The Roost

The first is off at 12h30

Racing is on the polytrack at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon.

It is the first leg of the WSB East Cape Poly Challenge over 1200m.

The meeting is scheduled to start at 12h30.

Pacific Duke from the Sharon Kotzen stable is the possible Pick 6 banker on the card. He looked a winner in his last start over 2200m, but was caught in the shadow of the post.

The son of Duke Of Marmalade will love the drop in distance and should be hard to peg back in the run down to the line.

Lady Catherine from the Tara Laing yard represents some decent each way value in Race 6.

She ran a good race in her last start over this distance at Kenilworth. It must be noted that What A Man has come out and won again since.

The daughter of Captain Of All makes her local debut today and takes a drop in class. If suited to the polytrack, she may be hard to peg back.

The false rail is 3m out from the 421m mark.

  • The Bipot starts in the first race at 12h30
  • The Place Accumulator starts in the second race at 13h05
  • The Pick 6 starts in the third race at 13h40
  • The first Jackpot starts in the fourth race at 14h15
  • The second Jackpot starts in the fifth race at 14h50

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
