A Fair Day For Racing

Note the early start at 11h50

Another exciting weekend of racing kicks off in Port Elizabeth with a nine-race programme carded for the Fairview Polytrack today, with the first race starting at 11h50.

It’s Friday 13th – so your luck could be in!

Bobby Bean writes that the best bet on the card comes in Race 3 with Colorado Springs.

This 3yo filly has done nothing wrong in her career thus far.

From her five starts, she was won twice and finished second three times.

If continuing that impressive run of form with Greg Cheyne retaining the ride, she should be too good for the opposition in this contest.

The value bet of the day comes in Race 6 with Beyond Temtation.

This 4yo filly didn’t finish too far back in her last start.

She tries the same course and distance in today’s contest and from pole position with Chase Maujean in the irons, the pair should be competitive in the run down to the line.

Beyond Temtation equipment change is alumites on the front, unshod behind.

The false rail is set at 3m out at the 421m mark.

  • The Pick 6 starts in the fourth race at 13h35

The Inspiring Story Of Dr Marianne Thomson

‘I am writing this as an older, small breeder and in our language, Markus, because this is our war. If I phoned you, I’d be overwhelmed by business jargon within a minute. What makes you so angry that you don’t care what you are doing to our shaky industry? How do you deal with this in your inner, quiet self?’
