Fourie Could Wear The Slipper Today

The Bipot starts in the second race at 12h30

Nine races are carded on the turf track at Fairview Racecourse this afternoon.

The main event of the day is the Listed Lady’s Slipper Stakes which is run over 1400m.

There is a Jackpot 1 carryover of R250 000 with a likely pool of R1 million. The first is due off at 12h00.

Splicethemainbrace from the Alan Greeff stable takes her place in Race 7.

She is unbeaten from four starts to date. She won a good race in the Listed East Cape Nursery last time.

Splicethemainbrace (Richard Fourie) showed her class to register a dual sex regional Nursery double (Pic – Pauline Herman)

It must be noted that the horse that finished second that day has come out and won since. The daughter of Master Of My Fate should have no issues with the rise to 1400m and she can remain unbeaten.

Hollywoodbets-sponsored Trainer Gavin Smith sends out Charlie Malone in Race 8. He should have finished much closer to Arturo last time as he had no luck in the straight.

He has finished third three times from five starts on this course. With a bit of luck in running, he can return to winning ways.

Louis Mxothwa is not riding today.
