Trainer Paul Reeves sends out Flying Finley in Race 1 and he should give punters a good start to the day.
He produced a promising debut effort in a work riders’ race over 1100m, on this course. He challenged strongly all the way to the line but found one too good in the form of Rafa Bay.
It must be noted that the horse that finished fourth that day has come out and won since.
The son of Oratorio would have gained from the experience and with the natural improvement that is expected, he should be the one to beat.
Asinantanga from the Adam Marcus stable takes his place in Race 2. He has shown good improvement in each of his outings to date.
He raced wide around the turn over 1800m last time, but the way he finished off his race was encouraging.
It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since.
The son of Rafeef should love the rise to 2000m. If not too far out of his ground turning for home, he can shed his maiden tag.
