Fourie & Bournemouth Bid For Fairview’s TGIF Feature

First due off @ 12h25

The first meeting of the day’s local double-header takes place at Fairview.

The main event of this eight-race programme is the Non-Black Type Lakeside Handicap run over 2400m. The first is due off at 12h25 with the lucky last set for 16h30.

Bournemouth (Richard Fourie) should find themselves in the winner’s enclosure today (Pic – Pauline Herman)

Bournemouth from the Alan Greeff stable takes his place in Race 7. He stayed on when fifth in the Betway Listed Algoa Cup last time.

He finished 2.5 lengths behind Firealley that day. He is 5kgs better off at the weights this afternoon and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

He has won twice and finished third once from as many starts over this course and distance. If jumping on terms, he should find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Trainer Kelly Mitchley sends out Makhachev in the lucky last race. He finished 1.25 lengths behind El Romiachi last time.

He is 4.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned.

The son of Red Ray has a wide draw to overcome, but Muzi Yeni should give him all the necessary assistance from the saddle. He may be the one to side with.
