Fourie And De Melo Comments For Today

The first is off at 11h35

Winning Form-sponsored Richard Fourie has been in dazzling form and has another good card of rides today.

He provides us with his comments.

Race 1: PLAZA ACCORD (1) – He is a first-timer and I don’t know much about him. He has a nice draw and let’s see what he can do.

Race 2: ABERDEEN (5) – His last two starts have been good and on paper should go close to winning.

Race 3: ORIENTAL BOUQUET (10) – She has lovely form and should run a cracking race.

Race 4: EXCEPT TEMPTATION (9) – He won a nice race and then went to the front last time which may not have suited him. He looks to be a lovely horse, but it is a strong field and there is a lot of horses who deserve respect.

Race 5: ROCKPOOL (1) – He has just travelled in from Cape Town for this race and hopefully goes into the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July. This is probably his toughest field to date, but he has quality and jumps from pole position.

Race 6: MARIGOLD HOTEL (11) – She is an interesting runner here. She does have a bad draw to contend with, but she gives you her best and always runs consistent races.

Race 7: DO IT AGAIN (9) – He is an old man who is probably having his last two starts of his career. His target is the Grade 1 Hollywoodbets Durban July. He has an average draw of gate 9 but is doing well.

Race 8: CAPTAIN BOMBSHELL (4) – He is an interesting horse and is always in the money. 1100m might be just perfect for him and I presume he is doing well.

Race 9: SHANTA’S PRIDE (6) – It is an open race, but she must have a chance.

Race 10: MASTER JOSH (1) – Hopefully I can round off the day to be a good one.

Winning Form’s national log-leader Keagan de Melo also gives us his comments:

Race 1: SEATTLE RIPPER (8) – His work was very good but could need one run to be at his best.

Race 2: EXPLOSIVE SPEED (9) – He is a nice horse but is looking for further.

Race 3: DIVINE MOONLIGHT (11) – She is going to find it hard from a wide draw.

Race 4: GIMMEANOTHERCHANCE (1) – He is a nice horse. From draw one I think he could be the horse to beat and he is my best ride on the day.

Race 5: SILVANO’S TIMER (11) – He races from a wide draw in a competitive field. I am hoping that he can run into the money.

Race 6: SHANTASTIC (6) – She is improving all the time. Her work has been good and this run will show us how good she is.

Race 8: ACACIA’S BLOSSOM (6) – It is a tough race and I am hoping that she can produce a good run.

Race 10: GREEN WITH ENVY (11) – He will be in need of the outing.

Sporting Post rider Tristan Godden gave us his comments:

Race 2: HOUSE OF ROMANOV (11) – He is drawn 11 in a 1400m race and will likely need the experience.

Race 3: EPIC VIEW (6) – She did not disgrace herself in her last outing over 1100m and she should relish the extra trip, she should be competitive.

Race 4: WINTER GAMES (5) – He has come on from his last outing and should be considered in what seems to be a very competitive race.

Race 8: RULERSHIP (9) – His last run was encouraging and we are hoping to be fighting out the finish.

Race 9: SWEET SYMPHONY (7) – She had excuses in her last run so hoping for her to bounce back in what seems an open race.

Race 10: JET BUND (4) – Hoping to see improvement.

Here are Winning Form’s Kabelo Matsunyane’s comments:

Race 5: WINCHESTER MANSION (5) – He produced a great first run after gelding. He comes in with a comfortable weight and a good draw. I’m happy with his preparation heading into this race and the cheekpieces will help him get into the race early. I definitely think he is going to be an interesting runner.

Race 6: MACARA (9) – She meets a competitive field and has an awkward draw of nine to overcome. However, she is a gutsy mare and on her best form she can run a massive race.

The first race is off at 11h35.

Don’t miss the Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge.
