She raced wide around the turn in her last start over 1200m, but the manner in which she stayed on at the finish that day was encouraging. She has dropped from a merit rating of 99 to 69 and with the services of 4kgs claiming apprentice Malesela Katjedi, she should be hard to peg back.
Trump My Queen from the Gavin van Zyl yard may be the horse to close off the meeting. She finished 0.4 lengths behind Maria Corolina last time. She is 1.5kgs better off at the weights today and that should be enough for the tables to be turned. She has dropped to a competitive rating and can notch up her second career victory.
