TAB have advised via a press release that the incorrect provisional result for Race 3 at Flamingo Park on Monday 3 February 2020 was posted by National Horseracing Authority judge.
This was corrected by the judge within a couple of minutes and the correct official result of 12-1-11-6 was then posted.
Unfortunately, TAB raceday auditors did not initially notice the changed result and went official with the incorrect provisional result of 12-1-6-11 @ 13:55. This was corrected to 12-1-11-6 @ 13:57 and payouts adjusted accordingly.
TAB apologises for the error and any customers who discarded winning tickets as a result are requested to submit a claim at their nearest TAB.
Ed – All told, this has been promptly handled. But just for the sake of additional clarity and to avoid finger pointing between the racing regulator and the tote operator: we took this matter up with the NHA & TAB within minutes of the ‘official’ result being shown by TAB after the race. NHA CEO Vee Moodley confirmed that the result was corrected by the Judge before the ‘All Clear’ was given by the Stipes. So it is TAB’s error. Question is – how did the Judge get it so wrong for so long when racecaller Brandon Bailey, Tellytrack presenter Alistair Cohen and the rest of anybody we spoke to clearly saw the 11 in third?
