Father’s Day At Turffontein

First is off at 12h00

With the Hollywoodbets Kenilworth racemeeting abandoned, Father’s Day racing takes place on the Inside course at Turffontein this afternoon and nine races are carded.

Don’t forget about the free to play Hollywoodbets Punters’ Challenge with the first due off at 12h00.

Bartholdi from the Mike and Adam Azzie stable takes his place in Race 7 and he is the best bet on the programme.

Father-and-son Mike and Adam Azzie

He was running on when fourth in the Grade 1 Golden Horse Sprint last time. He has won twice from three starts on this course.

The 5yo gelding has won over this distance in the past. S’manga Khumalo picks up the ride and the son of Act Of War can notch up his sixth career victory.

Trainer Roy Magner saddles We’ve Got Tonight in the lucky last. He was in need of his comeback run over this distance on the Vaal Classic course last time.

It must be noted that the horse that finished third that day has come out and won since. He would have come on from the outing and should strip much fitter.

The son of What A Winter takes a drop-in class and can find himself in the winner’s enclosure.

Craig Zackey and J P v’d Merwe are riding at this meeting.

Marco van Rensburg and Keagan de Melo have been stood down.
